sorting it out…

Sometimes I rush a bit. (That might be a tad bit of an understatement…) I rush and then spill stuff like coffee, or drop stuff like phones or keys or…beads. (Rushing never seems to pay off by the way.) Well, the other day, it was beads that I spilled. Not just a few…it was a whole tray of seed beads that Tanner had given me. I love the bright colors of the THOUSANDS of beads that spilled. THOUSands of teenyRead more

…not…

I love daisies. They are simple, but beautiful. They grow gracefully and don’t need much care. But this little daisy isn’t quite thriving at the moment.  It’s in a large pot  just off of our front porch and isn’t amidst lots of blooms. In fact, it is the only one blooming. I promise I wasn’t ‘flying sporadically in random patterns at high speeds …, but I did noteRead more

Pretty cool sights all before 7:00 this morning. Sunrise On the way to work, I always pass a beautiful spot where the sun is usually just peeking out while I’m passing by.  I beat it by a few minutes today. The day was a good day. It was my first day back after being sickRead more

…a few thoughts on fixing…

So, my son and I went to Verizon today. I usually dread it because of the wait time, but it was only a 15-minute wait tonight, so I just walked around and looked at the oh-so-upgraded phones that dwarf my little iPhone 4s (which I am a proud carrier of by the way.) Anyway, as I looked at one of the phones, it was kind of in the case catty-corner and so I tried to straighten it, to fix it….Read more

A Summer’s End Sigh…

Well, it’s my last day of summer and I’m trying to breathe deep and be thankful. Trying.  Breathing in, breathing out.  Trust me, I know that having a long summer vacation is a huge blessing.  As a teacher I am thankful for every single day of this long 2 month respite for sure.  But, boy oh boy am I sad to see it end.  As I sit here alone on the deck on the last day ofRead more
