“God’s purpose is to enable me to see that He can walk on the storms of my life right now… If we have a further goal in mind, we are not paying enough attention to the present time. However, if we realize that moment-by-moment obedience is the goal, then each moment as it comes is precious.” ~ Oswald Chambers Gonna repeat that one line again and again to myself…“if we realize that moment-by-moment obedience is the goal, then each moment asRead more

Weekly Photo Challenge ~ ‘Inspiration, part one”
I love the photo challenge for this week: inspiration. One of the things that I am so energized by is just the incredible beauty of creation. This photo was taken in New Smyrna Beach Florida. I don’t recall whether it was on an island, or just off the coast, but it was a glimpse into days gone by. The colors and textures blended together so beautifully …moss, leaves, bark, petals, sky, branches…and bright colors. There was a historic house onRead more
Thankful Thursday
Today I’m thankful for a children’s book “A Dog Needs a Bone” by Audrey Wood, a little girl who can’t yet read, and a therapy dog named Sky. That’s what I’m thankful for today. Because the combination of those three things brought joy to a little girl’s heart and helped her find a voice in telling a story. Am thinking the therapy dog wasn’t just there for the students. A teacher I know sure was touched as well. https://mithriluna.wordpress.com/2015/03/12/thankful-thursday-lessons-in-winter/Read more

Travel Theme – Simplicity
Love that when you’re traveling, the moon, in its simple form, is familiar. No matter where you are in the world, the moon shows up. We can all look at the sky and see the beautiful simplicity of the fact that all of us, in some respects, share the same view. Maybe not the same ‘world view’, but the same ‘moon-view’! And I bet, in some ways, that moon has similar effects on all of us, that when we goRead more
Weekly Photo Challenge – “Change”
When Wisteria Blooms On the outskirts of Boiling Springs, NC, there is a place that is transformed from an ordinary clump of trees to a sea of lavender plumes. Every Spring it happens during a small window of time when wisteria blooms. Around mid-April, gray trunks and branches are decorated with wisps of wisteria that sway with the wind. The fragrance is strong and sweet and is often carried through the town on gentle breezes. The beauty of the lavenderRead more
