Gonna repeat that one line again and again to myself…“if we realize that moment-by-moment obedience is the goal, then each moment as it comes is precious.”
I don’t have to conquer tomorrow. I need to live in the right-here, right-now mode of being thankful, true, and honoring the One I say I’m living for. Fear has no room where trust resides. Gotta push through the tasks of the moment and not try to control the monumental tasks that lie ahead. Mountains weren’t meant to be climbed in a moment. The beauty of reaching the summit comes as a result of all of the moments behind of just taking the next step….One little step at a time. Even when it hurts. Even when you’re tired. Even when you can so not see the goal. Being faithful in the moment matters.
So thankful for the wisdom and humanity of O.Chambers and his daily devotional that I’ve read ever since it was given to me in my junior year of high school. I’ve read it for so many years and it’s still fresh and new…and sometimes way beyond what I “get”. Like God’s love….new every morning…and beyond comprehension. Thankful for the glimpses of both that encourage and renew with hope.
