Wordless Wednesday

perspective

Sometimes it just takes a little glimpse of something big to give a new perspective.  The days can be so full of this and that and this and that and running and trying to figure out what can’t be figured out, and then…..I look up.  Literally and figuratively.  And that makes all the difference.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:1,2

After two or three torrential downpours, and before another was to come, was sunshine filtered through the clouds.

Loved that.   Kind of like my day!

“Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it. “

Isaiah 45:8

clouds

I was driving home the other day, and saw the same scene I see all the time. But this time, it really caught my eye. The tree line and the line of clouds seemed to be mimicking each other. The photo doesn’t do it justice, but I wanted to share it anyway. Love the unexpected little surprises that can come any given day. I guess I just want to be sure that I have the eyes to see them. Amazing how we can get so focused on “the next thing” that we miss the thing right there in front of us. Praying that I have eyes to see the beauty and life around me.
