“Where you tend a rose, my lad, a thistle cannot grow.”

~ Frances Hodgson Burnette

Milles Garden, Sweden

…am thinking the same principle applies with the tending of irises…

Beautiful Garden in Malmo, Sweden

…or tulips…

Hydrangeas in Hickory, North Carolina

or hydrangeas…

Poppies in Winston Salem, North Carolina

or poppies….or even…me.

Yes, am thinking the principle of tending is not just about roses. ❤

“Keep your heart with all vigilance,  for from it flow the springs of life.”

Proverbs 4:23

p.s.  Cool latin roots again. Tend = ‘stretch and strain”… attend, intend, intent, …not pretend…nope. not pretend…but …attend…tend…and be intentional about what grows in our hearts, in our minds, and of course, in the garden.

Bloom ❤
