“Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them.”
~Elisabeth Elliott
I’ll take it to the Throne of Grace
I’ll meet God there to seek His face
My refuge will be His embrace
as I meet Him there
I will lay my burdens there
and cast them to His Sovereign Care
I’ll trust that as He hears my prayer
I’ll rise and walk by faith
I’ll rise and walk by grace
I’ll rise and I’ll be changed.
Have found myself singing this chorus from a song I wrote many years ago. It’s called “Take It”. And I love pairing it with Elisabeth Elliott’s quote, because she was a woman who knew where to ‘take it’…the questions, the needs, the longings…she trusted God with the ‘stuff’ of life. And her example encouraged me so much on so many different occasions to ‘take it’ to God and let God take it. “Cast your cares on the Lord, for He cares for you.” I Peter 5:7. I LOVE that verse so much. Thankful. ❤
