This little puddle reminded me of something today… that sometimes, looking down can lead to looking up…
Sometimes, when we’re a bit downcast, we can be reminded of blue skies.
Thankful for puddles in life that reflect and remind of the truth that we’re not meant to keep our eyes downcast.Nope. Not at all.
Oh, and here’s another thought. See that tree in the reflection? See the leaf and acorn in the puddle? They all represent a different stage in the life of a tree… I mean what starts out as a teeny tiny acorn can grow to be a big beautiful tree. But it takes time. Lots of time. And hope and weathering storms. Yes, sweet little acorns don’t just become beautiful oaks overnight. But, sweet little acorns DO become beautiful oaks. They do.
So I’m thankful that this little puddle was full of big reminders for me today. To let my downcast eyes lead me to look up. To remember that we were made for more than this earth. to remember that dreams take time and commitment and hope.
And a sweet reminder and reflection that God is so very present…and speaks in millions of ways, but wants us to have eyes to see and ears to hear and feet to walk in these puddles left behind. Won’t be long before this puddle disappears. Praying to have eyes to see the gifts and opportunities all around while they are here…am thinking those blessings are all around for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Yep …all around…even in a puddle on the ground. ❤
Blessings ~
Heather
“Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
Psalm 42:5
LOVE this one Heather…your photo are always so appropriate, I think you have a real Creator designer eye! Now I think that the reverse can sometimes be true and that we are so busy looking up and “reaching for the stars” that we fail to see some of the beautiful details which are right at our feet: details like “a puddle full of sky” Hope you have a real blessed in Him Shalom day….
