So, I received this little gift wrapped in a daisy ribbon a few months back. Opened it up and am so enjoying it tonight. I’m thankful for little gifts that serve as reminders of huge gifts of the people in my life. Choosing to be thankful for time together rather than to bemoan time apart.
Thankful for the quiet after a long day of …not. Thankful for the reminder to be still and know that God is in control and to cast my cares upon Him…not just as a futile act, but no…as an acknowledgement that He cares for us. “Cast your cares on the Lord for He cares for you.” (I Peter 5:7) Yep, the ‘cares for you’ part sure makes it easier to do the casting of cares. Steeping myself in that truth that encourages me deeply, and hopeful that it encourages you as well… Truth changes mindsets like tea bags change water. Thankful for truth that overrides circumstance and permeates a heart and soul to change things.
Blessings ~
