After a full day, I indulged in two things: a late afternoon cup of hazelnut coffee, and sitting on the front porch. It was quiet and there was a little breeze blowing and I was just praying through a few things when all of a sudden, light just flooded the porch.
It made me think of how cool it is that things can change in an instant when we least expect it, and how important it is to not give up hope. Life can feel pretty heavy sometimes, but you never know when you’re gonna be just in the right place at the right time and light just floods your world.
Psalm 130:7 says “O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption.” I love that. Light is such a visual of hope. I mean, even tonight, just sitting there on the porch minding my own business, I was so encouraged by the way the angle of the sun flooded the porch that had been dark all day. God’s love and redeeming hope is like that–it can seemingly come from out of nowhere and change everything.
That’s my two cents on this not-so Silent Sunday.
Blessings to You and Yours~
