“What day is it?”
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
“My favorite day,” said Pooh. ❤
Thankful for the end of one day and the hope for a fresh start tomorrow. I love the quote by Abraham Lincoln that says, “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” I’m thankful for that for sure.
Sometimes we can jump way ahead and miss the joy in the day. Am thinking I want to be like Winnie-the-Pooh and let today always be my favorite because it is the one I have, right here, right now.
Even when it’s a Monday….or a Tuesday morning after a long break.
Even when there’s End of grade testing for students at school this week…
Even when it’s been the longest May at school EVER! And even when there’s uncertainty…there can be lots of joy to be found in each day. I know that for sure. But want to live that. There’s a difference.
Pooh is really good at not overthinking things…and I’m thinking that that can help us live with gratitude in a way that over analyzing things can’t. Overthinking can make us lose sight of the wonder that today is a gift—and living it with gratitude can help us have the eyes to see the beauty in it.
Praying for eyes to see the beauty in it. ❤
