Prayer helps us to be open to  God’s leading and direction when there are lots of ways we could go and paths we could choose…

Prayer changes things.  Probably first on the list of what /who it changes is us…the ones who pray.

Prayer is  like a beckoning of the wind that blows on in and refreshes and changes everything, not because of the wind itself, but because of He Who sends the wind.

Asking God to breathe His life into so many things. I love that He calls us to ask…and then wait…and trust. The wind blows where it wills. Thankful He knows what He’s doing even when I don’t…Prayer is humility in action—a trusting with it all, big and small and a reliance on One so much bigger than ourselves.  Just a few late night thoughts on prayer.

Yes, “What wings are to a bird, and sails to a ship, so is prayer to the soul.”  It asks for God’s involvement in our lives in a personal and distinct way. Prayer is the beckoning of God to  lift and refresh and change things (and us <3) . I have a feeling Corrie ten Boom saw that in action quite often in her life. Praying we will too.

Blessings~
