God’s Gallery

sunflowerbug

Well, that sunflower that I blogged about the other day?  It’s growing!  It is also attracting bugs and bees…bugs and bees that are so incredibly color-coordinated with this little sunflower.  Love it. The greens and yellows are even the same shade in this little bug as in the flower.  I know “camouflage” is a scientific term which speaks to how creatures adapt and blend in to their surroundings based on their color.  But when you see it right before your eyes it is like living, breathing, moving ART.

paint the sky

We can speak of how God “paints the sky” with a beautiful sunset, or smile as we see a new born baby’s perfectly formed toes and hands.  We can speak of the world around us and the wonder of God’s amazing design.  But it never ceases to amaze me that the art never runs out. There’s ‘audible’ art…wind blowing, water flowing, birds singing.  Sometimes we’re too busy to see and hear, but when we stop for a few moments, it’s amazing how much beauty there is to see and hear, even in the ordinary stuff of our days.

ordinary

The “gallery” goes on and on and on.  And it’s free…for those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Praying again today for eyes to see and ears to hear…and the heart to know that even in a crazy mixed up world, I am a part of His Creation, and am called to reflect His beauty, His glory, His story.  Like a beautifully designed piece of art in a living gallery, we are “His workmanship…”  Love that.

Now…off to find some color-coordinated clothes for the day….wish it were as easy for me as for the little green and yellow bee!

Blessings~
