The table is set, there’s a place for each one

The oven is full and the preps are all done

There’s a quiet here now, but it soon will be gone

As the house fills with family, from near and from far

Oh Lord in this moment, I pray that we’d see

Your grace, your redemption on this ThanksGiving

For who do we thank for the gifts big and small?

Oh God you have Given, you’ve given it ALL!

Help us receive with arms open wide

The loved ones, the treasures, with grace, with a smile

For Lord on this day of ThanksGiving we pray

You help us to love and give grace in all ways

For we are Receivers of Gifts great and small

Help us as Believers to thank you for it all

All? Oh the trials and struggles and pain ?

Of loved ones, the hurts of the past that remain?

Yes ALL of the gifts, Lord redeem them and change

And help us be part of the process of grace

For Lord we are here, but a moment of time

And on this Thanksgiving we ask you to dine..

At the table, the gathering, the place where we’ll be

Draw near to each one and help us to see

You.
