Turn Here…

I love the verse that says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21). Love that the Bible speaks of God as One who leads and speaks.

I just need to be sure I’m listening and following. That’s the thing. Wish it were as easy to follow His leading as it is to follow road signs, that’s for sure!

But then again, so much of life comes back to faith and trusting the God who I can’t see with the stuff of life that I can see. So much comes back to actively seeking and passionately following rather than blindly going into GPS, turn-off brain, cruise-control mode. Am thinking it has something to do with the facet of relationship…that when One is speaking, the difference, the impact, the understanding only comes as the other is listening.

Again, it seems to come down not merely to the questioning of whether God leads, but of whether I have the ears to hear and the guts to follow.

So, am praying, practicing, trying to have ears to hear and the heart and guts to follow and believing He will lead.

But…I still would love, just every once in awhile, if God would set up some turn signs as clear as the arrows painted on the road…saying in an audible GPS like voice, “Okay, Heather, turn here…”

Post is in response to the prompt, “A Week of Tarmac”

Glad to be part of it…thanks! I checked out your other postaday and might just do that as welll. Kinda funny…I already have quite a few photos of my steps/shoes/feet in different places, so “where I stand” will be an easy one 🙂

I think it’s good to realise just where we do stand – both physically and spiritually. The latter is the most important. Thank for the follow – I’ve reciprocated.
