Weekly Photo Challenge ~ “Muse”

So, this challenge is  “So what’s your muse — what subject do you turn to frequently, more inspired each time?” Well, those who read my blog often know that I often walk on a trail on the river’s edge here..and love taking photos there.  I love taking photos of my family and friends and their family and friends…capturing little ‘ordinary’ moments.  But a place that I don’t readily admit to going back to time and time again is …cemeteries.  I absolutelyRead more

God’s Gallery

Well, that sunflower that I blogged about the other day?  It’s growing!  It is also attracting bugs and bees…bugs and bees that are so incredibly color-coordinated with this little sunflower.  Love it. As the seasons change, the seeds will fall toRead more

Thankful Thursday

So, today, am thankful for this little sunflower. I had noticed a few weeks ago that a tiny green shoot was different from the red salvia plants that were growing in the pot on the deck.  The stalk grew daily and I smiled as I anticipated seeing the sunflower bloom. And this morning?  Voila!!  It’s beautiful and simple and sweet. How had the seed gotten in the pot to begin with?  Leftover birdseed, of course! I love that sometimes, theRead more

…sometimes it’s just a lose-lose situation…

Life is full.  There are great and amazing moments. . There are moments that will tear your heart out.  There is a lot of the in-between.  There are times when the way is certain and there are no gray areas in terms of which way to choose.  There are times when the way is clear and the choices and consequences are clearly laid out before us. There are times when the way ahead feels like it is clouded with fogRead more
